A Piece of History

I recently came across a website for the Minnesota State School Orphanage located in Owatonna, MN, which is now a museum dedicated to the children who lived in the orphanage.
Several of the surviving orphans have written books and have them for sale via the museum's website and it even appears that an award winning documentary was made about the orphanage. (The director of the museum is a former resident).
What a wonderful part of Minnesota history to have preserved. As a Minnesotan and mother to an adopted child, I'm looking forward to learning more about this piece of Minnesota history and hoping that maybe it can give me a tiny glimpse of what my daughter's life was like in her orphanage, even though it is located half way around the world.
