The Time is Approaching!

Since my blog entries are almost always about the kids, I decided I had better elaborate on my last Wordless Wednesday post...

Our first "alone" vacation since bringing "Fiesty Girl" home from China is about to take place. We are leaving soon on a trip to Las Vegas with two other couples, so there will be a total of six of us on the trip. One of the couples is leaving a day before us and returning a day earlier than us but we are all staying at the same hotel (the Wynn!!) and we hope to meet up, all six of us, at least one of the nights for dinner and drinks.

We had initially started planning some things to do, places to go, etc. but I think we have come full circle and just decided that we are going to "fly by the seat of our pants" and just do whatever the moment brings to us! For those of you who know me personally, you know that I'm a planner-at-heart and this is very unlike me -- but I am truly looking forward to a vacation in which I simply "do nothing" (or...maybe lounge by the pool!) if I feel so inclined!

My parents are watching the kids 2.5 days and my husband's mother is watching them the other 2.5 days! The kids will be in great hands while we are gone and I have no worries whatsoever-- I'm just REALLY looking forward to spending some quality time alone with my husband and our friends!!

Oh yes, and for the first 3 days of our trip they are forecasting 85+ degree whether...which is quite appealing when the nights here are still in the mid-30's and the days (at best) are in the 50's!

Las Vegas, here we come...
