So my husband's best friend started playing poker several years back. It started out as just for fun with a few friends, then just for fun online, then just for fun with a local group of guys, then just for fun in local tournaments, then just for fun in Las Vegas...well, you get the picture.
Then, said husband's best friend got husband addicted...same story different guy.
Recently, they infected me with this nasty, time consuming virus! Before tonight, I still only played with fake money for fun. Then my lovely husband mentioned that he had entered me in a "free roll" (an online game of poker that you get to enter for free but can win real money!) and asked me if I would be willing to play in it. I said that I would give it a shot, as the kids were both fast asleep and I didn't have anything else that I felt I needed to accomplish this evening.
Well, Low and behold, I've officially won my first "real money" playing poker! A whopping $1.50!!!! (I went out #246 out of #983 players; not bad for a first-timer!)
I'm beyond addicted now...thanks guys! :)
