Day Three in Duluth - Pretty Darn Good!

Today the rain finally broke, the sun heated things up, and we were finally able to enjoy some quality time in the great outdoors. We started out with breakfast at the hotel, then we quickly headed further north in hopes of taking the kids to Gooseberry Falls before it started raining again.

The good news is that not only did we head to Gooseberry Falls and manage to avoid any rain while we were there but we also managed to avoid rain for the rest of the day! After Gooseberry, we headed back to Duluth to do some biking around the lakefront. We rented a bike big enough to fit all five of us (from Wheel Fun Rentals) and biked around for 2 hours straight...we even made a stop of the Portland Avenue Malt Shoppe! At that point we split up for a bit. Dad and his "Feisty Girl" stayed back at the hotel (to watch football) while "Cousin K," "Little Man," and me made our way to the beach to skip rocks -- which we followed up with a small tour of the shops around Canal Park before heading back to the hotel for pizza!

Tomorrow, it's back home. Back to reality. But I can't think about that quite yet; it's too depressing! So for now, here's some pictures from our adventures today:

Me and my babes on the way to Gooseberry Falls!

My husband carrying on his tradition of doing dangerous things on vacation...

The kiddos on our rented bike for five...these things are a blast!

An uncle and his niece...so sweet!

And here's the whole bunch of us:
