Computer...Up & Runnning; "Little Man"...Crashed & Burned

So, our new hard drive arrived and a technician from Dell was out to install it so our laptop is up and operational again. We have some software to install, files to transfer onto the new hard drive, address books to get back in order, etc. but for the most part we are good to go!

That, my friends, is the good news...

The bad news is (as I mentioned earlier in the week) "Little Man" is sick, again. I ended up taking him to see our family physician right away Wednesday morning. He had a horrible night Tuesday night. He could barely breathe; his breathing was fast, shallow, and labored. He spiked a fever that neared 103 degrees at its peak and he had a horrible cough. We were in the doctor's office for barely 5 minutes before he asked if it would be okay for him to put on a mask...and to have "Little Man" wear one as well. Yes, he feared that "Little Man" might have a bad case of H1N1.

After having to put "Little Man" through a blood draw, a nose swab for H1N1 (not pleasant!), chest x-rays and, eventually, a nebulizer treatment...we found out that "Little Man" was negative for H1N1 but positive for pneumonia! (Hello...that wasn't even on my radar!!) We left the clinic several hours later and headed straight for the pharmacy where we picked up a 5-day dosage of steriods and an inhaler through which he could take some additional medication to help him with his breathing until things started to get better. In addition, he is still taking his medication for the strep throat that he was diagnosed with last Friday!

This week has been a crazy one but we have finally made it to Friday and I'm hoping and praying for a much better week come Monday. Thanks to everyone who called, stopped by the house, and emailed us during the week to check up on our little guy. Your thoughts and prayers were very much appreciated!
