Medically, this is becoming something far more complicated than either my husband or myself had originally anticipated but we continue to be inspired by what a trooper "Feisty Girl" has been thoughout the past 1.5 years! She is a very strong, courageous little girl. She had yet another tenotomy (her 3rd) about five weeks ago and just had her cast removed last week...on her birthday! What better birthday present than to have your cast removed, right?
My husband, "Feisty Girl," and I made the hour trek to her new physician's office...stopping at Old Country Buffet on the way. (Not a favorite of ours but the kids love it and it was her birthday after all!) When we arrived at the physician's office we completed some brief paper work and then met her new physician and the medical personnel who would be removing her cast. To cut to the chase, "Feisty Girl's" cast was removed (she only cried once!) and her leg was examined -- things looked good over all but her limb length difference is still fairly significant. We'll return in 3 months for another set of x-rays!
