Wow, it is finally WINTER in Minnesota. We received a whopping six inches of snow yesterday and are preparing for the next round (another 6+ inches, plus wind) that is suppose to arrive tomorrow. I hate the cold but I do love the snow--there is just something soothing about watching snowflakes tumble from the sky while sipping on a warm hot cocoa.
It doesn't sound like there will be much, if any, ice accumulation with this storm but the possibility still exists and reminds me of our last "memorable storm" (almost two years ago) and the beauty it brought the the area. After it passed I took "Little Man" outside to play and to see the coat of ice that covered everything in site. I even managed to convince him to stand still long enough for me to snap some photos of him next to our lone boulevard tree.
Call me strange but I'm actually hoping for LOTS of snow tomorrow! It will force us to stay inside, have some uninterrupted time with the kids, enjoy some hot cocoa, listen to some music, and maybe (just maybe!) even make some Christmas treats together.
