So, my husband and I never made it to a Bed & Breakfast -- our "choice rooms" were taking at all of the different B&B's that we found so we decided to save that trip for another time. Instead, we stayed at Treasure Island Casino in Red Wing, MN.
We took a day of vacation on Friday, spent part of the day shopping, had lunch together, did some more shopping, and then headed from the Twin Cities area over to Red Wing. We checked into the hotel and relaxed for a while before heading downstairs for the Prime Rib Buffet. We ate supper, gambled a bit, and then had a few drinks and watched a band before heading back to our room for the evening.
The supper was good (hot chocolate was great!), the gambling was the best ever (husband hit a ROYAL FLUSH on a video poker machine), and listening to a band (we love music) while enjoying a drink was a perfect way to end the evening. By morning we were refreshed and ready to go pick up the kids from Grandma & Grandpa's house.
I mentioned that my husband hit a Royal Flush while we were playing video poker. Unfortunately, at the time we were sitting at nickel machines but he still managed to walk off with over $200.00...all while playing with the casino's money (we got $50.00 in free slot play with our room)...does it get any better than that? For those of you who aren't poker players -- the Royal Flush occurs approx. once every 40,000 hands.
