An Update From the Road - Day One in Duluth

It's official...we are on our last vacation of the summer. We had to travel through wind, torrential rain, thick fog, and we narrowly missed some tornado touchdowns...but we made it! We are in Duluth, MN.

It is freezing here and I just got done working (as in real work-related work) just a bit ago, but I'm hopeful that the weather will get better over the next day or so and that we will be able to enjoy our time here as much as we do every year. Even if it rains the entire time we are here, I guess I can't complain...other than short burts of rain, I can't recall in recent memory the last time our trip was a wash-out. Either way, there is plenty to do. I was hoping to spend a lot of time outdoors since we are staying at a hotel and there are five of us in the room (my niece is vacationing with us) but I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves regardless of what the weather does.

It's getting late, the kiddos will probably be up at the crack of dawn, and I'd like to see the sun rise over Lake Superior in the morning...so I'll try to post some pictures and another "Update From the Road" tomorrow!
