Ha...and you thought I wasn't going to post pictures!

Okay, okay...so you probably read my last post and asked "where the heck are the photos?" Well, I took a picture of "Little Man" at his pre and post-school childcare site this morning as we were waiting for the bus. This afternoon as I was reviewing the pictures I noticed a "Chicken Soup for the Soul" poster behind him in several of the photos that I took. I can honestly say that I don't ever recall seeing that poster while he was in kindergarten...maybe it was new, or maybe the kids were always blocking it from view when I was around -- either way I thought it had a great message and was fitting for such a day, the first day of 1st grade! So here is the poem, and some photos:

Believe in Yourself

Set your standards high
You deserve the best.
Try for what you want
And never settle for less.

Believe in yourself
No matter what you choose.
Keep a winning attitude
And you can never lose.

Think about your destination
But don't worry if you stray
Because the most important thing
Is what you've learned along the way.

Take all that you've become
To be all that you can be.
Soar above the clouds
And let your dreams set you free.
