Happy Halloween Y'All

We just got back from taking the kiddos out on their yearly trick-or-treating-trek.  "Little Man" was Darth Vader and Feisty Girl was a Bride.

The weather was fine (in the upper 40's/low 50's) and even though the kids jumped in the van to warm up every now and then, overall they just ran from house to house at the speed of light in an attempt to score the next treat that would later help them to sustain their Halloween "sugar high."

Alas, the night is over and we are now at our house handing out candy to the "big kids" who are still out and about.  All in all, a great Halloween for everyone.  Here are a few pictures from last night (pumpkin carving) and our adventures from this evening:

"Little Man" showing off what his scary pumpkin will look like
after he's done carving it!

"Feisty Girl" showing off her scary pumpkin face

"Gutting" the pumpkin...mommy style (i.e. without getting our hands dirty!)

The finished products!
