The Joint Council announced, on February 10th, 2012, that the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has released a survey that seeks to collect responses from adoptive families, potential adoptive families, and adoption service providers. The results of the survey will be used to inform United States government policy makers about families' experiences when interacting with government officials during the intercountry adoption process.
As stated by the Joint Council, "this survey represents a unique opportunity for the adoption community to share their experience and express their opinions regarding the services provided by the government."
