The New Year is finally upon us! I'm torn because 2008 was probably one of the best years of my life, for one very obvious reason ("Fiesty Girl") but it was also a very trying year for me for many reasons that I won't get into on this blog. I'm hoping 2009 will be the beginning of a new chapter in my life and the life of my family!
We were able to spend New Years Eve with some of our dearest friends. There were twelve of us total, including the kids. We all decided to grab a bite to eat at Applebees before heading back to our house to ring in the New Year. This was the first year in a long time that we DIDN'T make it until midnight, but we had a lot of fun nonetheless! We shared in fun and laughs throughout the night and revisited some of our favorite memories from 2008. We played a few games, refereed the kids (only a little bit!), and even took in a little Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii. There, of course, was good food and drink to boot! :)
I'm fortunate enough to be able to spend the next four days at home with my family and we have some "fun time" planned. We are also looking to get a lot accomplished around the house--something we don't often get to do because of other committments and "daily life."
