Christmas Comes Early!!

Okay, so we couldn't resist...we admit it! We're shameless, and we love it! (Are we as bad as the kids, or what??)

We decided that with all of the chaos that will ensue over the next several days with traveling to our family's homes, dealing with the potential storm that they are saying could drop as much as a foot of snow on us, Santa paying a visit, etc. that we would just host our own Christmas tonight. So Christmas it was!

We finished up some last minute errands after work, grabbed a bite to eat on the way home, got everyone settled in, and then...bam...we were all gathered around the tree, sitting on the living room floor, cameras and camcorders in hand -- let the gift opening begin! And so it did...

So crazed with anticipation, "Little Man" is now praying to open gifts (okay, not really but it sure did appear that way!)

"Feisty Girl" was psyched about this gift (seven of the Disney Princesses) but had the strangest of looks on her face!

The anticipation builds...my oh my, what ever could it be?

"Feisty Girl's" favorite gift...by a landslide! (A "real" baby; one that cries, sucks on her pacifier, and coos and giggles)

"Little Man" had a favorite or two too...he just couldn't decide which to pose with! (Okay, okay, his favorite was the NintendoDS which even came with a fake fainting spell and then a little dance to commemorate the wonderous occassion...but that's another post altogether!)

So now that the gift giving and opening is done at our house, it will soon be off (snowstorm withstanding) to visit the relatives for a day or two. That will, of course, encompass more gift giving and opening. More time with our family. More food. More merriment. More treats. More rest. More time to think about those less fortunate than us. More to be thankful for. More to pray for.
