We were able to visit for a bit, have dinner together, open presents, and then visit some more before playing a few games and then hitting the bed around 1:00 a.m. It was a long, but fun, day. The kids had a blast playing with cousin "H!"
After we all got up and "going" this morning we had a Christmas Eve brunch -- it was DELICIOUS and included a pomegranate and lime drink, fresh fruit (apples, bananas, kiwi, and oranges), ham, eggs, cheesy hashbrown potatoes, and even some spice cake bread. Again, what can I say...it was WONDERFUL...thanks A&K!
After brunch we took the time to clean up the mess we made opening presents the evening before and also some more time to visit. We will probably be leaving soon as there is suppose to be a break in the snow/sleet between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m. before this storm really starts whipping up some trouble. Since my family's home is about 2 hours from here that will give us an opportunity to hit the road before dark and hopefully experience somewhat decent travels between here and there.
And now, a couple of pictures from our holiday adventures thus far! (Wish us safe travels to my parents home).
The kiddos by the tree...
One of my Christmas gifts from "K!" (A donation on my behalf to Love Without Boundaries)
