Day 7 of the Chinese New Year is upon is...the seventh day is said to be the day on which each of us grows to be a year older. I don't know about you but I'm feeling old enough the way it is these days, so I'm really hoping that as far as this Chinese New Year custom goes -- that this day isn't in addition to the normal day on which we grow to be a year older!!
And speaking of birthdays, we've had a bunch of them already but haven't yet been able to celebrate any of them due to conflicting schedules, illnesses, etc. So far (in January) we've now surpassed my father's birthday, my brother's birthday and my niece's birthday. Additionally, my mom's birthday is coming up at the beginning of February. I guess we'll maybe just have one BIG birthday bash this year to celebrate everyones birthdays all at once!
